The Kapikoy border crossing in Turkey's Van province has transitioned to two-way truck traffic to facilitate trade between Iran and Turkey.
According to TinNews, the Van Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Van TSO) announced that following successful negotiations with Iranian authorities, the Kapikoy border crossing in Saray district now allows two-way truck traffic. Necdet Takva, President of Van TSO, confirmed that the West Azerbaijan Governorate has authorized Turkish trucks to enter Iran via this crossing. This shift from one-way to two-way transit is expected to significantly boost cross-border trade and strengthen economic ties between the two neighboring nations.
