CENTCOM Commander Brad Cooper claims that the maritime blockade of Iran continues and has hindered the country's oil exports.

Brad Cooper, Commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), claimed that the maritime blockade of Iran is ongoing and has weakened Tehran's ability to project power beyond its borders. Highlighting that approximately 400 commercial vessels have passed through the Strait of Hormuz in the last seven days, he alleged that the U.S. has prevented at least $25 billion worth of Iranian crude oil exports. Cooper further claimed that the U.S. has assisted regional partners in the Persian Gulf in transporting over 100 million barrels of oil. These remarks were made without addressing the failures of U.S. policy in the Strait of Hormuz.
