The West Azerbaijan Road Maintenance and Transportation Department has successfully organized truck traffic and eliminated long queues at provincial border terminals by launching an online reservation system.
Arsalan Shokri, Director General of Road Maintenance and Transportation in West Azerbaijan, stated that the online system allows drivers to book their turn before arriving at the border, preventing congestion on access roads. The system, currently active at Bazargan, Sero, Poldasht, and Razi terminals, categorizes vehicles based on cargo type and activity. Trucks now arrive at designated parking areas only at their scheduled time, significantly speeding up customs procedures. Implementation is also underway at the Tamarchin border terminal to further enhance intelligent traffic management across the province's borders.
