Ahmad Zamanian, head of the Khorasan Razavi Chamber of Commerce Transport Commission, has expressed concern over the halt of Iranian trucks at the Pakistani border due to banking and sanctions-related issues.
Ahmad Zamanian stated that the Pakistani government attributes the border closure to the failure of Pakistani merchants to register orders through the banking system due to sanctions. He emphasized that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs must urgently address this to prevent further accumulation of stranded vehicles. A significant portion of Iran's fuel and agricultural exports is destined for Pakistan, and continued uncertainty threatens the survival of international transport companies. Zamanian proposed a joint meeting with officials in Sistan and Baluchestan to evaluate the status of the Rimdan and Mirjaveh borders and explore alternative solutions to mitigate economic losses.
