The China–Tajikistan–Uzbekistan transport corridor, aimed at connecting to Iran and Europe, has entered its pilot implementation and infrastructure development phase in 2025-2026.
The China–Tajikistan–Uzbekistan transport corridor, which envisions a broader connection to Europe via Turkmenistan, Iran, and Turkey, has moved from initial negotiations to pilot operations in 2025 and 2026. This route serves as an alternative for goods transit from China to Western markets.
Under this initiative, a pilot convoy of 10 trucks will travel from Uzbekistan to China. Efforts are underway to enhance border crossings, such as Jartepa-Sarazm, and establish logistics centers capable of handling 100 trucks daily. This project is vital for diversifying transit routes and strengthening the role of Central Asian nations in international trade.
