The Trade Promotion Organization of Iran has updated the list of authorized imports for border cooperatives, adding nine new tariff lines while removing environmentally hazardous waste.
Following the decisions of the Article 12 Working Group on Border Trade Regulation, the Trade Promotion Organization has announced an updated list of goods authorized for import by border cooperatives. Nine new tariff lines, including elevator motors, coffee makers, electricity meters, solar inverters, and new batteries, have been added with specific quotas. Conversely, all types of waste, scrap lead-acid batteries, and waste containing lead, cadmium, or mercury have been removed from the list for environmental and technical reasons. This update aims to streamline border trade regulations and facilitate the import of essential goods for border communities.
