DP World requires all vessels arriving at Jebel Ali Terminals to comply with established safety procedures for edge protection and lashing. Any deficiencies, such as missing handrails, must be rectified immediately. If risks cannot be mitigated, DP World will suspend lashing operations in the affected area, requiring the vessel's crew to complete the work under the Chief Officer's responsibility. A deficiency letter will be issued in such cases. Furthermore, if safety concerns persist, a joint assessment will be conducted. Non-compliance that poses risks to personnel or equipment may result in the denial of cargo operations.
