Mohammad Shakibinasab, CEO of the Ports and Maritime Organization, reported a significant increase in capacity and productivity at northern ports. By relocating equipment from southern ports and implementing 24-hour loading and unloading operations, the share of northern ports for essential goods has risen to 31 percent. Highlighting that over 55 percent of warehouse capacity around these ports remains available, he emphasized continued infrastructure development. Furthermore, to facilitate transit, the policy of 'the border is for transit, not for cargo storage' is being implemented to streamline the logistics chain and reduce dwell times.
