Hosted by TOBB, the CAD meeting brought together IRU members and Turkey’s ministries of transport and trade. Discussions centered on emerging trade corridors connecting Turkey and Europe with the Middle East, the GCC, and China. IRU Secretary General Habib Turki emphasized the practical role of industry data in navigating volatile markets. The event highlighted the growth of eTIR across Eurasia and Turkey’s plans for further connectivity. Turkey’s transport sector has seen significant expansion, with service values rising from USD 2.7 billion in 2002 to USD 42.6 billion in 2025, reflecting the resilience and increasing importance of road transport in global supply chains.
