Dubai Trade has announced that SMS reminders for truck and container permit expiry will begin on September 1, 2026. Additionally, a passport cover copy is now required for all new entry permit applications.
Following directives from the General Directorate for Identity and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, all applicants for new entry permits must now upload a copy of their external passport cover. This requirement applies to all nationalities effective immediately.
Furthermore, starting Tuesday, 1 September 2026, SMS notifications will be issued to remind customers of upcoming permit expiries. These notifications are a reminder service and do not constitute approval for extensions. Customers are urged to monitor their permit validity closely to avoid operational disruptions or penalties.
